All I want for Christmas is

As Christmas approaches, my list of things that I want in my future classroom expands. The Top 22 Tech Gadgets Teachers REALLY Want for Their Classrooms from, provides great list of tools that teachers can use. Many of the gifts are under $100 and can be used by teachers or students. One of my favorite gifts cost only $12, it's a Belkin headphone splitter!

Another gift that I found useful, was a iPhone/ iPad projector. It's lightweight and easy to carry, and it's only $53.

As teachers, we are on a limited budget, but want to provide the best possible supplies. It's hard to buy new technology for the classroom, so this I'm asking Santa for just a few new things.

What to Download

Many of the classrooms today have a great tool available for the students.  iPads, tablets, or eReaders,  are often provided in classroom sets for the students. So what do we as teachers need to download to better the education of our students, and also keep them safe on the internet.  A website that I found useful, was Apps For Elementary Education. It's a great resource and starting place to gather ideas on apps that teachers often use in the classroom. A few that I enjoyed the most were the reading apps. There are many different tools available to assist students who struggle with reading. I enjoyed the "Read Me Stories – A new talking picture book EVERY DAY teaches your child new concepts, new words and how to say them." It's much more than just stories, it's a learning tool. Their are games and  many apps to interact with students, parents, and professionals.
